Hay
Hay for Horses
Seed Hay
- Sown as a rotation crop. It is spoken of as a one - two - or three year ley, depending on the length of time it is left undisturbed. Sainfoin or timothy, Lucerne or alfalfa, clover and mixture hay (comprising timothy, rye grass, clovers and trefoin) are all seed hays.
Meadow Hay
is cut from permanent pasture and contains a greater variety of grasses than seed hay. Cocksfoot or orchard grass, sweet vernal, meadow fescue, rye grass and clover will all be found in good meadow hay. Meadow hay is more easily digested.
We provide these two main types of hay;
seed hay and meadow hay. We have 10,000
acres of prime grassland throughout the
country that produces very high quality
hay.Again
we can deliver different size bales depending
on your requirements. We also provide blow-dried
hay with the use of our specialist equipment
that eliminates over 98% of the dust.
Because hay is a highly individual and
specific product we are always pleased to
supply samples to ensure you and your horses
are happy with the quality.
